Having worked as a Visiting Lecturer and Professor in some of the finest schools in France and the UK. I have been teaching the merits of Brand Storytelling for around the last 5 years, in both the Luxury Industry, in food design and in FMCG.

At Rennes School of Business I co-ordinate the Corporate Design in the Luxury Industry Programme to Masters Students specialised in this field and as part of the course, I run a workshop on Luxury Storytelling. At L’Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique, I jointly manage the Brand Design Option for International Students and I teach on the Master – Brand Design Food. I also run courses specialised in Multimedia Brand Storytelling for Sciencescom and UCO, in Nantes and Angers.

With all of this experience, I thought it was about time that I published a tool to help both students and professionals think about all the important aspects of the creation of a Brand Story.

This worksheet, will give you all the important starting points to think about, such as the Brand you are working with, its’ values, personality (brand voice) and its’ way of doing things. It then moves onto the story itself, allowing you to think about when and where it takes place, the plot, and, of course, the characters – the Antagonist and the Protagonist. Finally, it talks about the importance of the sensory aspects of your story. It’s the first step to the book I am writing on the subject, so I would appreciate your feedback.
